Who we are

thelocalagent.au is run by XLR8 Media Holdings Pty Ltd ATF Llewellin Family Trust (ABN 75 533 606 065), trading as XLR8 Media. Each agent page is published by XLR8 Media on behalf of the agent named on it.

What we collect

When you send an enquiry we collect what you enter:

• the property address
• your name and mobile number
• your email address and message, if you add them

We also record the suburb the page was showing, how you reached the page (for example a Google ad), and the Google click ID if you came from an ad.

If you're an agent asking about advertising, we collect your name, email, mobile and the suburb you want. Those details stay with XLR8 Media.

Why we collect it

We use your details to pass your enquiry to the agent you contacted, and to keep a record of it. We use the click ID to report to Google Ads that an enquiry came from an ad. We also count page visits and clicks as daily totals, which do not identify you.

Who we share it with

• The agent you contacted and their agency, who will use your details to reply to you.
• Cloudflare, which hosts this site and provides its spam protection.
• Microsoft, whose email service delivers your enquiry to the agent.
• Google, which receives the click ID and the fact that an enquiry was made if you came from an ad.

These providers may process data outside Australia. We do not sell your details.

How long we keep it

We keep enquiries and agent requests for 24 months, then delete them. XLR8 Media does not keep a copy of the email sent to the agent. The agent's own records are handled under their agency's privacy policy.

IP addresses and cookies

We do not store your IP address. We store a salted hash of it for one day, used only to limit spam. This site does not set its own cookies. Our spam protection provider may use its own technical data to tell people from bots.

Your choices

You can ask us what we hold about you, or ask us to correct or delete it, by emailing info@xlr8.media. You do not have to give us your details, but the agent cannot reply to an enquiry without them. You can call the agent directly instead.

Complaints

Email info@xlr8.media first and we will respond. If you are not satisfied, you can complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner.
